A number of government agencies, in particular, the law enforcement system, have not yet started implementing the provisions of the law on the cleansing of power (lustration), Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.

“A number of government agencies, including the law enforcement system, have not yet started to implement this law,” he said, while opening a government meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

He said that those subject to dismissal in law enforcement agencies with a special status had not yet been dismissed and remained in office.

Yatsenyuk expressed hope that the law enforcement authorities would speed up the implementation of the law on lustration.
