Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Vice President of the European Commission for Energy Union Maros Sevcovic have discussed the joint modernization and management of the Ukrainian gas transportation system.

“Among the priorities for the joint work with the EU, which were discussed by Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Maros Sevcovic, was the implementation of the provisions of the Third Energy Package, the joint modernization and management of the Ukrainian gas transportation system, as well as investments in increasing domestic production of energy resources in Ukraine,” the Cabinet’s press service reported the results of their meeting in Kyiv on Nov. 14.

In addition, at the meeting Yatsenyuk noted Ukraine’s and EU’s solidarity in the matters of energy security, stressing the importance of working together to further diversify the energy sources.
