The United States wants soon to see the real results of reforms conducted by the Ukrainian authorities and the fight against corruption, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt has said.

He said at a press conference in Kyiv on Nov. 19 that everything could not be left as it is, there was no time, changes were needed, and they should be seen in the coming weeks.

Pyatt said that the United States wanted to see the results of reforms and that the most critical sector was the energy sector, which is bogged down in corruption. The fight against corruption should be a top priority, he said.

Pyatt also believes that Ukraine should pay particular attention to the development of agriculture.
