You're reading: Ukrainian Rada coalition to pass legislation regulating president’s impeachment

A coalition agreement envisions a public administration reform and the passage of legislation regulating the president's impeachment procedure.

The document, which is available on the website of the Samopomich party, says that the members of a future coalition plan to reform the Cabinet of ministers and the system of other government bodies.

The coalition is also determined to amend the law on central executive government bodies and other regulations, particularly as regards the introduction of the institution of state secretaries in Cabinet ministries.

The goals of a future coalition include “the adoption of legislation regulating the holding of the president of Ukraine liable through impeachment.”

The coalition agreement also envisions a reform of state property management and privatization, in particular, through reducing the list of assets owned by the state not subject to privatization.
