Moscow - Ukrainian parliament deputies will visit a State Duma plenary meeting on Wednesday afternoon, Russian State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Chairman Leonid Slutsky said.

‘Twenty-four Verkhovna Rada deputies, who have formed a group For Peace and Stability, will be the guests of our meeting this afternoon,’ Slutsky said at a State Duma sitting on Wednesday.

These deputies ‘are defending the interests of the Russian world and a democratic future of Ukraine in spite of complicated circumstances and risks to their lives,’ he said.

State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin is expected to meet with the Verkhovna Rada deputies, a source in the house administration told Interfax.
