The Ukrainian government has dismissed Board Chairman of national joint-stock company Nadra Ukrainy Viktor Ponomarenko at his own request, and the relevant resolution was passed on March 19 and posted on March 23 on the government's portal.

The Cabinet of Ministers also dismissed Deputy Board Chairman of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy Hennadiy Yuryev and a member of the holding’s board, Serhiy Vinokurov.

Ponomarenko headed board of Nadra Ukrainy in June 2012 when Nadra Head Oleh Proskuriakov was removed from the post and appointed Head of the State Service of Geology and Deposits, and after six months he was appointed Ecology and Natural Resources Minister.

Before Proskuriakov, Eduard Stavytsky went from head of Nadra Ukrainy to head of the State Service of Geology and Deposits. In late 2012 Stavytsky was appointed Energy and Coal Industry Minister.

Nadra Ukrainy was established in October 2000 to increase the efficiency of the management of state geological exploration enterprises. The state owns 100% of the company.
