A spokesperson for Rinat Akhmetov has dismissed the allegations by parliamentarian Yehor Firsov (Petro Poroshenko Bloc) that the billionaire faces criminal charges of financing terrorism and separatism.

“Following the information aired live on Shuster’s LIVE program on April
24, 2015, by people’s deputy Yehor Firsov that, ‘…the Prosecutor
General’s Office has opened a criminal case against Rinat Akhmetov over
his financing of terrorism and separatism’ we consider it necessary to
state this: the information voiced by Yehor Firsov is untrue,” the
spokesperson said in a statement released in Kyiv.
