Ukrainian High-Speed Railway Company by Nov. 1 will finalize the preparation of Intercity+ trains for winter.
According to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia, special attention is paid to checking equipment that is exposed to outside weather conditions, in particular, the company specialists examine the work of automatic doors, air conditioning and heating systems, intercar connections cables, storage batteries, rubber seals, compressors, etc.
“When upgrading certain components and systems of electric trains this year, the experts have taken into account the causes of malfunctions of trains manufactured by Hyundai Rotem, which were revealed during the operation last winter,” reads the report.
In the 2014/2015 winter season Intercity+ train will run on the following routes: Kyiv-Kharkiv; Kyiv-Dnipropetrovsk; Kyiv-Zaporizhia; Darnytsia, Kyiv-Lviv; Darnytsia, Kyiv-Truskavets; Darnytsia, Kyiv-Odesa; Kyiv-Kostiantynivka; Darnytsia, Kyiv-Ternopil.
