Ukraine imported about 250 million cubic meters of gas from Europe via Poland and Hungary in July, which is 13 percent up on July 2014 (221 million cubic meters), according to operational monitoring data from the Hungarian and Polish gas pipeline operators, FGSZ Ltd and Gaz-System S.A.

Ukraine imported about 128 million cubic meters via Hungary and about 121 million cubic meters via Poland.

Thus, in April-August 2014 Ukraine imported almost 1.1 billion cubic meters of gas from Europe. In April some 70 million cubic meters, in May some 200 million cubic meters, in June around 330 million cubic meters, in July near 220 million cubic meters and in August some 250 million cubic meters was imported.

According to public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz, stocks of natural gas in its underground storage facilities as of Aug. 30, 2014 stood at 15.69 billion cubic meters.
