The Ukraina media group plans to launch a new niche TV channel called Indigo, a representative of the TV channel said at a meeting of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting held on Aug. 21.
An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that the results of monitoring of TRK Ukraina were discussed. Broadcasting of programs for children was not registered on the channel, while the license foresees around two hours of programs for children.
The representative of the TV channel said that the company plans to transfer programs for children to a separate niche TV channel Indigo, the launch of which is planned by the media group. The application documents for a license have been sent to the national council.
