The tender commission tasked with choosing candidates for the position of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau Head has chosen two candidates – lawyers Artem Sytnyk and Mykola Siry, who are now subject to approval by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

Eight members of the commission voted for this decision at a meeting on April 7.

Prior to this, the commission held a preferential vote on three candidates: seven members of the commission voted for Sytnyk, five for Siry, three for MP Viktor Chumak.

As reported, in early March, the tender commission selected four candidates Yakiv Varychev, Artem Sytnyk, Mykola Siry and Viktor Chumak, who were to undergo special checks before their candidacies could be submitted to Poroshenko.

Subsequently, chairman of the commission Refat Chubarov citied Security Service of Ukraine information stating that Varychev had failed to pass the checks.
