Brussels - Six European countries - Montenegro, Iceland, Albania, Liechtenstein, Norway and Moldova - have joined the European Union's decision to impose sanctions on some Ukrainian citizens.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton said this in a statement released in Brussels on March 19.

She recalled that on March 5 the EU Council decided to freeze the assets belonging to Ukrainian citizens suspected of misappropriation of government funds and violating human rights.
