Donetsk - Trucks carrying Russian humanitarian aid to Ukraine's southeastern regions have successfully passed through Customs Control at the Russian-Ukrainian border, an correspondent reported.

The aid convoy crossed the border through the Donetsk-Izvaryne and Matveyev-Kurgan checkpoints, Oleg Voronov, deputy director of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry’s National Crisis Management Center, has said.

The aid convoy will now split into two, with some of the trucks heading to Donetsk and others to Luhansk.

Southern Customs Department spokesman Rayan Farukshin confirmed that customs officers had already finished working with the trucks of this humanitarian aid convoy.

“All trucks and their cargo have already been cleared through customs and have passed through the Russian checkpoints,” he told on Oct. 31.
