Members of the UN Security Council will raise the issue of Russian's illegal sentencing of Ukrainian filmmaker Oleh Sentsov and other Ukrainians, Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.

“Our western partners, and permanent and non-permanent members of the UN Security Council will raise the issue on the illegal sentencing of Sentsov and the other Ukrainian citizens at the UN Security Council, as Russia, which is a permanent member of the UN Security Council, constantly violates the UN charter and international legal documents, which are the basis of global security, and respect for human and citizen rights,” Yatseniuk said at the meeting of the Cabinet on Aug.26.

He added that Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin had talked to a number of western partners of Ukraine about the issue, and that he himself had talked to the Ambassadors of New Zealand and Poland.
