You're reading: Rada should adopt 36 reform bills this year – draft coalition agreement from People’s Front

The People's Front Party has called for the adoption of 36 bills by the end of the year, in particular, concerning the reform of inter-budget relations and tax reform.

A list of priority bills was attached to a draft coalition agreement proposed by the People’s Front.

The list is headed by a bill of amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine regarding the reform of inter-budget relations, as well as a bill of amendments to the Tax Code and some other laws regarding tax reform.

The priority bills include bills on the reform of compulsory state social insurance and the legalization of the wage fund, a bill on the principles of state regional policy, a bill on the list of objects of state property not subject to privatization, and a bill of amendments to some laws on ensuring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

In addition, the party considers it necessary to quickly adopt amendments to the legislation on police reform and improving the organization of defense planning.

Among other priorities for adoption are bills on a special period in the energy sector and on the introduction of changes to the legislation on ensuring gas supply discipline in the period of limited or halted gas supplies to Ukraine.

The People’s Front also calls for the speedy adoption of a bill on the voluntary unification of local communities, and a bill on housing and utility services.
