The parliament has registered a draft resolution on setting up a temporary investigative commission to verify the fact, voiced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk, regarding the signing of an agreement between the shareholders of PJSC Ukrnafta and the state dated Jan. 25, 2010, which was approved by the government headed by Yulia Tymoshenko.

According to the Verkhovna Rada website, the draft document was registered on June 12. Its text is not available.

The authors of the draft resolution are MPs Andriy Teteruk (the co-chairman of the People’s Front faction), Viktoria Voitsytska (Samopomich), Serhiy Leshchenko (the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko), Oleh Liashko (the head of the Radical Party faction, the coordinator of the coalition).

Speaking at a parliamentary meeting on June 5, Yatseniuk stated that his government faced a problem when trying to replace the leadership of Ukrnafta, as in 2009 the Cabinet of Ministers under the instruction of the then-prime minister, Yulia Tymoshenko, signed an agreement between the shareholders of Ukrnafta and the state, according to which the government, while trying to change the leadership of Ukrnafta, will have to respond in the London court.
