The U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt has praised the activities of Akhmetov Humanitarian Centre in helping citizens in eastern Ukraine.
“[I] commend [the] work of Akhmetov Humanitarian Centre. [I] agree with Poroshenko: people in occupied Donbas [are] “effectively held hostage by militants,” Pyatt said on his Twitter account.
He said is also concerned about humanitarian aid which is not reaching the people who need it.
“[It’s] unconscionable that food, relief supplies aren’t getting across collision line to [the] people of Donbas, those hardest hit by Russian aggression,” Pyatt added.
