The Normandy format, which involves, Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia, means not only Ukraine's support on the part of Germany and France, but also a powerful global pro-Ukrainian coalition, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has said.

“The Normandy format means not only the leadership of Germany and France, and that is not only they who provide the support of Ukraine’s position. The Normandy format is a powerful pro-Ukrainian worldwide coalition, because the leaders of the EU countries represent the European Union, which was confirmed by a decision of the EU Council. We have clear transatlantic coordination, so that our partners from the other side of the Atlantics, the United States and Canada, should stand by Ukraine. And the whole world starting with Japan and Australia… is currently on our side,” he told reporters in Kyiv on Saturday.
