Brussels - The European Union links its new wave of sanctions against Russia with the implementation of the peace plan of the Ukrainian president, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

“The absolute majority of the EU member states has been supported the possibility of introducing sectoral sanctions, including sanctions sectoral at level 3. And it was tied to the success of the peace plan of the president of Ukraine, which received unanimous support in the EU today — since the ceasefire,” he said at a press conference on Saturday, Aug. 30 in Brussels.
