Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree dismissing Andriy Levus as deputy chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) due to his election as a people's deputy.

The decree was posted on the website of the head of state on Nov. 24.

Levus was elected a Ukrainian member of parliament on the list (No. 23) of the People’s Front Party. He was appointed deputy SBU head in late February this year.
