Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has approved a proposal to appoint People's Front parliamentary faction leader Oleksandr Turchynov to the post of secretary of the country's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), a presidential administration source told Interfax on Dec. 16 morning.
“A decree on Turchynov’s appointment will appear within the next few hours,” he said.
