The competition commission should determine the procedures under which the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau will be elected, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

“We should not waste time and quickly form a clear position, which would make the selection and competition procedure more perfect and say whether the national competition commission sees a foreigner as a possible candidate for the post of director of the bureau, what qualifications we put forward to him, and what changes we need to make to the law,” he said at the first public official meeting of the competition commission on the election of the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

Earlier, Poroshenko said that he saw a foreigner as director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
