Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has stated he had cancelled privileges for the residents of elite villages near Kyiv.

“Today I’ve signed a decree on the abolition of privileges for the
residents of the Koncha-Zaspa and Puscha-Vodytsia elite settlements,” he
said in an interview with Ukrainian TV channels.

According to him, more than Hr 40 million was annually spent on ensuring the comfortable life of people living in these areas.

“I believe that in the conditions of military actions it is immoral. And this decision has been made,” Poroshenko said.
