You're reading: Poland appeals to remove Russian humanitarian convoy from Ukraine

Poland has said that the Russian Federation’s unilateral action, which contradicts arrangements with both Ukrainian authorities and the International Committee of the Red Cross, is another violation of international law, escalates the conflict and reduces chances of reaching an agreement.

“We join the international community in its appeals to remove the convoy form Ukraine. We warn against unpredictable consequences of provocations using the convoy,” reads a statement of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs published on Aug.23.

“Poland supports all efforts aimed at solving the conflict in Ukraine that are based on the respect of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” reads the statement.
