DONETSK - Given solid security guarantees, members of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine could extend their work to the dark hours of the day, Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug has said.

Monitors record in their reports what they can hear in the nighttime, he said to journalists on Wednesday evening. They are looking for possibilities of working during night hours, but working at night requires serious security guarantees – greater than they have at the present moment, he said.
