You're reading: One Ukrainian soldier killed, nine injured in Donbas hostilities

The Ukrainian military claim that militants in Donbas region violated the ceasefire 28 times on Tuesday, Nov. 18, killing one military serviceman and injuring nine others, according to the press center for the military operation in eastern Ukraine.

At 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, the situation was most tense around Donetsk Airport and on the eastern and southeastern edges of Avdiyivka, the press center said on its Facebook page.

“The ATO (anti-terrorist operation) forces … came under attack 13 times in this area,” the press center said.

According to the Ukrainian military, mortars were fired against the army positions in Maloorlivka, Troitske and Chornukhyne. Militias fired Grad rockets against the village of Nikishyne.

In the Luhansk region, the Ukrainian army checkpoints, fortified locations and observation posts came under fire near Stanytsia Luhanska, Triokhizbenka and Sokilnyky, the press center said.
