One National Guard serviceman died and nine were wounded in an attack by Russian military and rebels in the early hours of Tuesday, Sept. 2 in Donetsk region, the National Guard press service said.

The National Guards units were fighting in the area of Razdolne, Vasylivka and Starolaspa last night. The first operative brigade of the National Guard came under artillery fire.

The Russian military and militants attacked the National Guard positions near a bridge across the Kalmius River, in the vicinity of the village of Rozdolne. “Nine servicemen were injured and one died in that battle,” the report said.
