MOSCOW - There will be no need to send peacekeepers to Ukraine if the Minsk agreements are implemented, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland has said.

If the Minsk agreements are completely implemented, there will be no need for additional solutions, she said in an interview with Ekho Moskvy radio.

She said that the U.S. is concerned about the fact that the first stage of the Minsk agreements hasn’t been implemented. The first stage includes a ceasefire and the OSCE’s presence in every region affected by the conflict.

If it happens, if a full ceasefire happens and when the OSCE can go anywhere it wants, there will be no need for new ideas, Nuland said.
