Verkhovna Rada Chairman Oleksandr Turchynov has handed over the certificates for ten new modernized Spartan armored vehicles to Ukrainian National Guard soldiers.
“Ukrainian National Guard soldiers are now receiving the certificates for new armored vehicles. After studying the tactical and technical characteristics of the new vehicles they will leave for the front to defend our country,” the press service of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry quoted Turchynov as saying on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
He said that these vehicles had been produced at Ukraine’s KrAZ plant under an order from the National Guard, taking into account constructive remarks and innovation proposals.
The modernized cars were presented to Turchynov by Interior Minister Arsen Avakov and Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak.
