You're reading: National Council of Reforms to be created in Ukraine

A National Council of Reforms will be created to facilitate realization of reforms program in Ukraine, Co-Chairman of the Managing Committee of strategic advisory groups Oleksandr Sushko said at a press conference on Monday, July 21.

He noted that the goal of the new organization is to supervise;
outline strategic priorities and coordinate priorities of conducting
reforms in all the fields of activity in Ukraine.

The council will include specialized Ukrainian and foreign experts,
analysts and civil society organizations that will closely cooperate
with the government and the president of Ukraine.

According to Deputy Head of Ukrainian Presidential Administration
Dmytro Shymkiv, the organization should work under the aegis of the
Ukrainian president, but it won’t have state status.

In addition, a final decision on the format of the national council will be made shortly, according to Shymkiv.
