Public joint-stock company Motor Sich (Zaporizhia) is preparing for the supply of first multipurpose modernized Mi-8MSB helicopters in November as a part of the order of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, the top managers of the company have told Interfax-Ukraine.

“Today the defense ministry has confirmed the state order on the purchase of 10 Mi-8MSB helicopters in 2014-2015. In early November first two helicopters will be delivered to the customer. Another two helicopters will be supplied in late November or December. Next six helicopters will be sent to the Defense Ministry in 2015. As a part of the state order, three Mi-8MSB helicopters will be supplied to the National Guard next year,” a representative of the top managers of Motor Sich said.

“In addition, in 2015, we plan to start supplies of multipurpose Mi-2MSB to the army in 2015. it is planned to complete the certification and receive a certificate for the type of the helicopter in the first half of the year. Supplies will start by the end of the year, and now the state order is being working out,” the source said.

Motor Sich is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of engines for aircraft, as well as industrial gas turbines. It supplies its products to 106 countries.
