The Moldovan coordination council for television and radio broadcasts decided on July 4 to ban the Rossiya 24 (Russia 24) TV channel broadcasts.

The ban was introduced by the agency due to “biased representation” of information and analytical programs of the TV channel in regard to events in Moldova.

Rossiya 24 was broadcasted only on cable networks and, unlike other Russian channels – Channel One, RTR-Planet, NTV and REN TV – did not have national coverage.

Federal channels have Moldovan partners, which besides their own programs broadcast programs of Channel One, RTR, NTV and REN TV.
