Ukrainian military positions were not hit by shell attacks last night, however separatist militants continue to attempt provocations, military operation spokesman Andriy Lysenko has said.

“The situation in the ATO is stabilizing. Last night there was shelling on our positions. However, there are singular cases of armed provocations,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Feb. 26.

In particular, Lysenko said that militants had fired on Ukrainian defensive positions near Pisky, Donetsk region and had also attempted an assault which was “successfully repelled.”

Lysenko also said that militants had fired in the direction of Mariupol, from near Shyrokyne.
