The United Self-Help party is going to take part in elections to Kyiv City Council, with the party planning to form a list of candidates together with citizens of Ukraine's capital, the party's leader and Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy has said.

“I have a great desire to make my own contribution to Ukraine’s
capital so that it will start moving in the direction of modern, dynamic
and comfortable European capitals. I want to come to Kyiv and be proud
of it, at least no less than of my hometown Lviv. Today, Ukraine’s might
is being formed in its cities, and Kyiv, without a doubt, must become
an example of successful and strong community,” reads his statement to
Kyiv citizens posted on Monday.

Besides, Sadovy asked Kyiv citizens to submit their suggestions for
the candidates list on the party’s Web site. He said he is also going to
make his own suggestions.

“We’ll hold a program session among the candidates of the list to
work out the action plan for Kyiv that United Self-Help will take to
elections,” he said.

As reported, elections to the Kyiv City Council will be held on May
25 simultaneously with elections of Kyiv mayor and Ukrainian president.
