Slutsk (Belarus). Apr. 11 - Belarus is ready to take those Ukrainians who want to leave Ukraine due to the events taking place there, although it would be better for everyone if everything were calm there, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.

“They are asking to come to us, we need to think about it. We can’t do anything about it, we will have to take some of our brothers and sisters,” Lukashenko said during a meeting with the staff of an enterprise in Slutsk on Friday, Apr. 11.

“We will see. If we have to, we will accommodate people in Belarus,” Lukashenko said.

At the same time, Lukashenko said that “it would be better if the situation there in Ukraine was calm.”

“It would be better for them and for us,” he said.
