The eastern part of the city was damaged by attacks in the past 24 hours, the press service for the city council has reported.

The general situation in the city remains critical, the city has been without power, light, water and communication for a long time,” the city council reported on Sept. 1.

According to city residents, a shell hit a boiler room in the city’s Dzerzhynsky quarter and an explosion broke the windows in the gym of School №57. The territory of the Okolytsia market and a dairy plant have also come under fire, the report says.

Specialists are doing everything possible to restore the electricity supply in the city, the report says.

“The situation with the absence of water supply in Luhansk remains acute. Water supply has now resumed to some buildings and districts of the city and the water just flows freely,” the report says.
