Brussels – Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics has said that reports of the appearance of Russian troops on Ukrainian territory are a sign of the beginning of a full-scale war.

“The Russian invasion of Ukraine must be considered by the UN Security Council as act of aggression, the UN must react accordingly – this is war,” he wrote on his Twitter page on Thursday, Aug. 28, calling for an immediate response from the international community.

As reported, Lithuania also called for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council to react to the events in Ukraine and stop Russian aggression.
