Last night was relatively quiet in Donetsk, and active hostilities had subsided, the City Council said in a report posted on its Web site on Thursday 18 .
The Kuibyshevsky district was put under artillery fire on Wednesday 17 evening. Three private homes and gas distribution networks were damaged. Yet gas supply to those homesteads was rapidly restored.
In the morning, residents reported explosions and gunfire exchanges in the Trudivska mine area. Bus traffic was limited in that part of the city.
