The completion of exercises in Russia has not led to the de-escalation of the situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border, the speaker of the information-analytical center of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), Andriy Lysenko, has stated.

“The Russian Defense Ministry yesterday announced the completion of
exercises, the exercises have been discussed. But we cannot state that
this became one of the stages for de-escalating the situation near the
border,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday.

Lysenko noted the accumulation of Russian military equipment near the
Ukrainian border is continuing. In particular, the units of the Pskov
Airborne Division of the armed forces of Russia were redeployed in the
vicinity of one of the villages in Voronezh region, 10 km from the
border, and a tank regiment was located in the Aydar pioneer camp near
the city of Rovenki in Voronezh region.

The NSDC speaker also pointed out that the battalions of the task
group of the armed forces of Russia, including the 32nd and the 35th
motorized rifle brigades, which came from Shilovo of Novosibirsk region
and Aleysk of Altai Territory, and the 120th artillery brigade from
Yurga city in Kemerovo region are being deployed in Bryansk region in
Russia.
