You're reading: Kremenchuk oil refinery in January-September cuts crude oil processing by 12.9 percent

Kremenchuk oil refinery (PJSC Ukrtatnafta, Poltava region) in January-September 2014 reduced the refining of crude oil by 12.9 percent compared to the same period in 2013, to 1.617 million tonnes, a source in the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has told.

In September 2014, oil refining at the plant totaled 156,700 tonnes, which is 26.2 percent less than in the same month last year.

Crude oil supply to the refinery in January-September fell by 17.5 percent compared to the same period last year, to 1.542 million tonnes. In particular, the factory was supplied 1.379 million tonnes of Ukrainian oil (13.9 percent down) and 145,200 tonnes of imported oil (down by 41.3 percent). In addition, the company was supplied 15,500 tonnes of vacuum gas oil (2.6-fold more) and 1,500 tonnes of gas condensate (9.9 times down).

Production of petrol at Kremenchuk refinery for the first nine months decreased by 33.5 percent, to 332,200 tonnes, diesel oil – by 23.1 percent, to 447,600 tonnes, while fuel oil increased by 6.7 percent, to 326,300 tonnes.

Kremenchuk oil refinery is operated by PJSC Ukrtatnafta, the management of which since October 2007 has been controlled by the shareholders of PrivatBank (Dnipropetrovsk). The design capacity of the plant is 18.62 million tonnes per year.
