You're reading: Kozhara discusses situation in Ukraine with Slovak FM in Germany

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara has met with Foreign Minister of Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajcak on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

During the meeting, Kozhara briefed his counterpart about the latest efforts of the Ukrainian government for settling the political situation in Ukraine and reconfirmed the Ukrainian administration’s intention to continue a close dialogue with representatives of the opposition, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s press service reported on Saturday.

The ministers stressed the importance of the soonest resolution of the political crisis in Ukraine at the negotiating table possible as well as the inadmissibility of any form of extremist actions.

Kozhara and Lajcak also discussed the current issues of bilateral relations.

As reported, during his visit to Germany at the Munich Security Conference, the Ukrainian foreign minister met with the foreign ministers of Germany, Iran and Poland.
