Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has met with members of House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress headed by Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives Nancy.
According to the press service of Kyiv City State Administration, the parties discussed the current political situation in Ukraine during the meeting on Aug. 5.
Klitschko thanked American politicians for attention to Ukraine and noted that the country needed further financial support and their efforts aimed at modernizing its economy.
“First of all, we’re interested in attracting American technologies and know-how that would push Ukrainian economy and production towards renewal and reinforcement,” the Mayor said.
In addition, the parties discussed the settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine and using U.S. veteran organizations’ experience in adapting soldiers that participated in the Anti-Terrorist operation to civilian life.
