You're reading: Justice Ministry passes 30 cars, 2 armored vehicles to army

Justice Ministry of Ukraine has handled 30 forfeit by the executive service cars for the needs of the Ukrainian army and plans to purchase five unmanned aerial vehicles, Minister Pavlo Petrenko said.

“There are many forfeit vehicles in the frames of court enforcement
proceedings and today the justice authorities have already handled 30
vehicles to the anti-terrorist operation forces, National Guard,
Security Service of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the
minister said in Kyiv on Aug.11.

He stressed that after the inventory the Justice Ministry
revealed that it could handle two armored vehicles, big shuttle buses
Chevrolet for the needs of ‘Azov’ battalion.

Besides, the justice minister reported that the ministry jointly with
the public and lawyer’s offices initiate a purchase of five unmanned
aerial vehicles for the needs of the Ukrainian military men.

“We had an initiative to help the National Guard. By the end of the
week five unmanned aerial vehicles will be bought, which will be handled
to the National Guard and will be put into operation,” Petrenko added.

In turn, commander of Azov battalion Andriy Biletsky said that
Ukrainian military men need these vehicles a lot, and in particular,
handled two armored vehicles will be used to evacuate wounded soldiers
from the battle field.

Biletsky added that if earlier mainly volunteers helped Ukrainian
army and the National Guard, now the authorities also joined this
affair, which is a positive moment.
