Hr 4 million a year is needed to create and run the Information Policy Ministry, head of the ministry Yuriy Stets has said.

“Hr 4 million is what the price of [running] the ministry for a year might be,” he told journalists in Kyiv on Dec. 18.

At the same time, the minister added that several enterprise funds are ready to give a total of Hr 10 million for the creation of his ministry. “This is the only ministry that might bring profit to Ukraine, instead of losses,” he noted.

Stets also said that, after the creation of the ministry and approval of the staff schedule, he’ll have three deputies.

As reported, Stets said he hadn’t assessed the budget of the ministry, but he “wasn’t interested in playing budget games.” According to him, only 20 people will be working in the Information Policy Ministry on a full-time basis.
