The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) intends on April 30 to consider the appeal on providing Ukraine with a loan, IMF official representative Gerry Rice has reported.

“We are in the process of completing the steps necessary for the
board consideration, which is tentatively planned for April 30,” he said
at a press briefing in Washington.

“We have now received the appropriate documentation from Ukrainian
authorities covering all prior actions. Staff are checking these
documents to verify if the details are in line with program
understandings. And on that basis the board meeting is planned for April
30,” the official stated.

“We have said before that the proposed Stand-By would be in the range
of $14-18 billion over a two-year period. And that we expect that this
IMF program would unlock additional international multilateral and
bilateral assistance of about $15 billion over that same two-year period
in 2014-2016. In terms of specific, I thing you should expect the board
to make that decision,” he said.
