The International Committee of the Red Cross plans to increase the annual budget for Ukraine by CHF 20-25 million from the current budget of CHF 48 million.
President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer told this to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko at a meeting on Feb. 26, the Ukrainian president’s press service reported.
The parties also discussed the problems of delivery of humanitarian cargo, medicines and products to the occupied territories.
Poroshenko emphasizes that despite the Minsk agreements, the situation in Donbas remains tense, which particularly affects civilians in the region.
