Ukrainian households from April 1, 2015 will pay for only 27 percent of gas used for household needs (both directly and via heating supply companies) under the full tariff of Hr 7,188 per 1,000 cubic meters, according to calculations made by national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy.

According to a presentation posted on the company’s website, during one year (starting from April 1) Ukrainian households consume 8.7 billion cubic meters of gas as part of the social norm (up to 200 cubic meters a month, with the price being Hr 3,600 per 1,000 cubic meters) and 6.8 billion cubic meters of beneficial gas will be used by heat supply companies to cover the needs of households (at the price of Hr 2,994 per 1,000 cubic meters).

Households will consume gas and pay under the full tariff (Hr 7,188 per 1,000 cubic meters) only for 2.5 billion cubic meters of gas used for cooking and boiling water, and another 3.3 billion cubic meters to heat houses.

Naftogaz Ukrainy plans to allocate 21.3 billion cubic meters of gas during the year for the needs of households (both directly and via heating supply companies).
