Funding of defense sector from state budget will be close to five percent of GDP – Poroshenko

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said the level of funding for the defense and security sector from the national budget for 2015 would be close to five percent of GDP.

“We’ve made spending on security and defense closer to a level of up to five percent of GDP,” the president said, opening a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council in Kyiv on Dec. 20.
