You're reading: Federal Drug Control Service officers advised not to visit states possessing extradition agreements with US

Officers of the Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN) have been advised not to visit states, which have bilateral extradition agreements with the United States.

“This is a mere recommendation, not an order,” a source from the FSKN
press service told Interfax in his comment on media reports alleging
the ban on foreign travel by Russian law enforcers.

“We have been advised not to visit countries, which have extradition
agreements with the United States,” the press service representative
said.

The United States put anti-drug cooperation with Russia on hold.
National Drug Control Policy Director Michael Botticelli cancelled his
Moscow visit in mid-March.

Meanwhile, the Federal Migration Service press service declined to
comment on a ban on foreign trips by Russian law enforcers. “No
comment,” a Federal Migration Service representative told Interfax.
