Donetsk - Prime minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Alexander Borodai has confirmed that what is believed to be flight recorders of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing are in Donetsk.

“Technical components of the airliner looking like black boxes were
discovered in the crash area. They are in Donetsk, in the government
house of DPR under my personal control. They will be handed over to
international experts in case of their arrival,” Borodai told
journalists on Sunday, July 20.

These objects “cannot be handed over to representatives of Ukraine,”
he added. “Because in this case their intactness could have been broken
to falsify the results of the examination,” he said.
